Setting the loudness to around dB fixes this on most tracks. Without an RTA to properly analyze the amp's signal output, I'm very cautious in how much I'd criticize it's frequency response. In terms of clarity and noise; I'm satisfied with both at the amp's price point. Keep in mind with this specific amp, a lot of what you're paying for is all of the various inputs, internal preamp, and internal DAC not the amp itself.

I don't know what dangers might exist when piggybacking this amp onto these speakers, but I wouldn't experiment. Yamaha HS7s are active monitors they have built-in power amplification. The A-S does not have preamp outs. You could use the tape outs to feed the monitors, but [ Antonio Dec 02, ].

If they can accommodate amplifier level inputs as some older subwoofers do they might work, but if they don't my guess would be no I'm really not sure. I would just call the customer support number and ask them.
They were extremely helpful with all my purchases. By the way I love the Yamaha amp. I don't think so. Due to the HS7 having its own amplifier and doesn't appear to be defeat able which would make them passive , these speakers would not be compatible. Also, the rear of the HS7 does not show traditional speaker binding posts, which is how the A-S send the audio to connected speakers. I hope this helps, and happy hunting! Hi, sorry for delayed response. Not sure what you mean - there is a powered connection for Yamaha accessories that might require it and a connection for a pc. Not sure if either is what you are referring to I'm not using either of them Next to the optical and coax jack there is a USB jack. This is how I connect my computer to the amp, for streaming purposes. I do not use this amp in an AV setup it's strictly audio for me so I'm not sure how it would be used.

Yes you can. All of my input sources plug into the DAC. That way everything goes through the EQ first before going to the amp. I hope this helps. SO, the Yamaha has a phono input. With MM Moving magnet cartridges, the built in phono-preamp will be enough to get a decent signal. Now, if you wanted an even more improved signal, or had a MC Moving coil cartridge , you may want to up grade with a component phono-preamp. I really can't answer your question regarding the necessity for a phono pre-amp.
I think it would need one, but a question easily answered by a tech advisor at Crutchfield. I bought the Yamaha amp for its 4 ohms compatibility to power Buchardt 4 ohm speakers. Of course it got good reviews for the price point. In addition, it is just an old school amp without all the home theater stuff was also a plus. I had to turn off the internal pre-amp for it to even work properly. Way too much signal. I haven't tried it with the internal turntable pre-amp on and plugged into a regular amplifier input but I'm guessing having the pre-amp built into the integrated amp would have a more stable power supply to work with.

I've used my phone to connect with this amp. Double RCA in back; into a single plug into your phone jack. I've listened to Amazon music and Sirius radio this way through the phone apps. As for the first part of your question, you might want to just consider a media streamer, hooked up to this amp.
I have a Cambridge media streamer, and it picks up through Wi-Fi music that is physically located in files on my computer. The quality of the music from the media streamer is good. I only have experience with the A-S Black, but it drives two different sizes of KIipsch tower speakers perfectly for both chamber opera with clear, delicate high soprano voices AND the huge sound track for Game of Thrones.
I seem to recall there was a difference - what about the DAC chip? That can make all the difference - I have the and it's a simple but great sound producing music amp!! The DACs sound different. I think the as has a more smooth sound. The as has better dynamics and is little more exciting to listen to. Both are good though, depends what you like. It will not handle a 2ohm load.
Mine is driving a pair of Cerwin Vega AT's at 4ohms with no problem at all. I don't know of any home audio amps that will handle that heavy of a load. Anything lower than 4 will need a car amplifier. Can't say about 2 ohms, but I am pushing a pair of Martin Logan Motion60's at 4 ohms with no issues - though it is in an open cabinet.

I didn't compare both alternatives, but the "classical" and probably most straightforward way to connect both devices is via Toslink and a Mini Toslink Adapter for the Mac Mini headphone jack.

U need atleast 75 to Rms speakers with the at 4 ohms [ vijay Nov 22, ]. I believe the difference between 4 and 8 ohm output is pretty universal, but i could be wrong Most companies just list the 8 ohm rating. I think you'll be fine with this amp. Hope this helps! What's most likely happening here is that the factory measurements are the case of the unit, and our larger measurement is to the rear of the speaker binding posts, that could explain the extra amount.

I'm guessing you meant "dual" subwoofers. It seems possible, although I haven't tried it with this amp. Not sure what you mean by dial subwoofer The unit has an automatic power save feature that shuts off the power after 6 hours. The power button stays down and has to be cycled to turn the unit back on. There is a switch on the back of the unit to override the feature if you don't wan't it to go into power save mode. This does not happen with my A-S sounds like it might be your unit.
Your Yamaha A-S natural sound integrated amplifier is defective. This is a wonderful amp, it has been performing beautifully so far. I've been Marantz since I bought an entry level Yamaha amp for my garage mancave. Very satisfied with that entry. When I decided to replace my stereo room power I decided to give Yamaha a shot. I use the Yamaha A-s to power my Klipsch La Scalls and it is plenty loud at one eighth up at one fourth up everyone wants to leave my home because it is so loud. Articulate inspiring tone. I haven't found a need for it, but it's nice to be able to add additional features.
As I recall, it does not come with the unit and because of the cost difference, I ordered it from another company. A separate Bluetooth source needs to be ordered and connected to one of the input lines. Should work fine with that speaker. This is a Very Good amp, just take the time to let the amp and the internal DAC burn in, probably about hrs or so. Mine is hooked up to Klipsch Heresy 3's and that combination will melt your ears or put you to sleep.

The wxc is essentially the same as a rocket fish or audio engine b1, I have used them all and personally like the audio engine. You can hook it into any line, cd input and works well to stream quality music to your amp. It will do just that.
Yes from what I can tell by looking at the specs, it will work in a network with this amp. I bought mine through Amazon. While I've not experienced any issues, there does appear to be some unhappy campers with the product. I use the BTA10 all the time to play Pandora and other music streaming services through my Yamaha app. It works perfect and am very pleased with my purchase.
I like the Yamaha A-S so much I bought another one for my bedroom setup. There is a big difference in sound quality when compared to a good AVR like a Denon and it plays very loud and clean with low impedance speakers. I do not use the DAC feature yet.

Digital audio does not have that noise and almost always does not have the alignment issue. However, where it is digital, it does not have a smooth sound wave to it and a handful of people have been able to hear that!

I have these components and they sound amazing. I dig this system the most, Man. The polka are fairly efficient at 88 she sensitivity. You will find they will play quite loud with 10 to 20 watts.
Unless ofcourse you are a head banger, then watts per channel won't be enough. I think they are a great match. This amp has a lot of clean neutral power. Crisp high's and very clean snappy bass, in a good way.
The first thing that jumped out when I hooked up this amp was how well it controlled the bass. Strongly recommend this amp. The crutchfield advisor at the time recommended this model over a few higher priced integrated amps they sell. YBA is discontinued. I can't make a statement on the sound quality of the R-S, but I don't think the weaker connection options of the A-S with regards to your specific needs will be overcompensated by it's superior overall architecture.
In combination with it's optical line in, I can stream digital sound right into the A-S, without pre-converting it to analog signal in a device with a weaker DAC e. The conversion is performed by the A-S's DAC - the resulting sound is simply great as long as the speakers are also high quality. I haven't used it ,but I believe it is to plug your computer into, to play your audio files.
There is an explanation in the owners manual. You need to download software onto your computer and install. This is explained in the owners manual, and was very easy. Also, as I understand it, you cannot just hook up an MP3 player to do this. It must be an actual computer for some reason. It's common for DAC's to use this type of connection.
AudioQuest makes good ones for this application. Plug it into the USB port! Yamaha has an optional Bluetooth receiver that you can use to stream audio from your iPhone and iPad. Set up the audio connection in the midi and speaker function in the MacBooks preferences. You should be able to stream songs directly from your iTunes library. It has a DAC. All you need is a usb cable like one that you would use with a printer and it connects right to the Mac. Joshua, You will need to add a Sonos as a component and I recommend also getting a Sonos Boost and then you will be good to go! The device has no local storage. I couldn't recommend it more highly. I'm assuming it would be.. I have this system myself and use the DAC on a daily basis and it has been fantastic. I highly recommend it. That would be my guess. It's hard to imagine they would use more than one DAC in a stereo receiver, especially when they tout the inclusion of the Sabre so proudly.
The receiver sounds phenomenal, regardless, and it's hard to beat the low THD level, for the price. That said, if you want to know for sure, I would simply call Yamaha. They have very friendly, knowledgable support staff.
Yes, there is one DAC for all the digital inputs. I have not tried this, but I don't see why It wouldn't. I am using the optical port for my CD player. I haven't tried this yet. The A-S will not decode and play Dolby digital bit stream surround sound audio. Sorry I can't answer. I am using the unit for analog music. Disadvantage of this solution: The sound is remarkably worse than that of a pure digital transmission, as it seems to me that the DAC embedded in the Apple iPod Dock doesn't have a high-end digital-to-analogue converter chip inside.
If you own a newer "lightning" iPod, I don't see any alternative to streaming, because any previously manufactured high-end hi-fi DACs are not available with a lightning connector. By Marantz watt speakers you are referring to Marantz speakers that can "handle" watts, presumably at 8 Ohms impedance pretty standard.
To the best of my knowledge, the 's are in fact 8 Ohm, but you'll have to check the plaque on your speakers or the owners manual to ensure that the Marantz are 8 Ohm too. Aug 28, ].
